- Mattress retainers or an approved connector: Adjustable bases commonly include retainer bars at the foot of the bed that help keep each mattress in position. Check the manufacturer's guidance before adding straps, bridges or other accessories.

How to Set It Up
- Position the frame or two Twin XL adjustable bases side by side on a level surface.
- Install the legs at a manufacturer-approved height, then add the retainers and any approved connecting hardware.
- Place one Twin XL mattress on each base and align the head, foot and outside edges.
- Add the two fitted sheets, followed by the shared king flat sheet and comforter if desired. To place the sheets to the interior corners at the head, leave one side flat and raise the other. This makes accessing the interior corner extremely easy.
- Pair or label the remotes and test the full range of motion on both sides before moving the bed close to the wall.

Can two regular Twin mattresses make a king?
