Nine inches sounds tall, but fiber compresses substantially under weight — the sleeping height is considerably lower than the uncompressed measurement. That's what makes it work across all sleep positions rather than only for side sleepers.

Fully machine washable — both pillows.

This is the rare pillow you can wash entirely, not just the cover.

Unzip the outer pillow and remove the inner one. Zip the outer pillow back up, then put both in the machine. Wash cool with a mild detergent on the gentle cycle, and run the rinse cycle twice — fiber fill holds detergent, and leftover residue is what makes a washed pillow feel stiff.

Tumble dry low with dryer balls, or clean tennis balls. They break up clumping fill as it dries, and skipping this step is the usual reason a washed pillow comes out lumpy.
